ROQ To Perform Live DTG Demos At PRINTING United

ROQ US will be using DuPont Artistri Water-based Pigment Inks for live demonstrations at its booth during the PRINTING United (2023, Oct. 18-20) in Atlanta.

ROQ, a company that specializes in DTG (direct to garment) printing of t-shirts, chose Artistri P6000 and a combination of pre-treatment chemistries as well as color-protection chemistry from the Artistri Digital Inks Portfolio from DuPont.

• Wed. Oct 18: 10am / 11:30am / 1pm / 2:30pm / 4pm

• Thu. Oct 19: 10am / 11:30am / 1pm / 2:30pm / 4pm

The Artistri P6000 set of inks was designed for direct-to garment digital printing using cotton or cotton-rich blends. It can be used for apparel and specialty applications. The brilliant aqueous ink was designed to be used in printers that have high viscosity, piezoelectric printheads. It is ideal for high-quality sampling, production printing, and strike-offs.

Artistri P6000 Series inks are formulated with proprietary DuPont technology for dispersion and polymer. They can be used with any industry standard heat-curing tunnel. The pretreatment and ink are combined into a system that is optimized for maximum throughput.

“The perfect result of printing with Artistri P6000 Pigment Ink is achieved with the use of DuPont stain-free pretreatment and the color-protect chemistries,” said Gary Weyman, EMEA business leader for DuPont Artistri Digital Inks.

“Using DuPont’s stain-free pre-treatment enables little to no maintenance on the spray nozzles,” added Ross Hunter, president for ROQ US. “ So now printers don’t have to worry about blocked nozzles, and damaged prints. This technology is not only easy to use, but also provides a softer feel on the garment. When combined with the color protector, best-in-class wash fastness is achieved.”

The ROQ NOW uses an exclusive system for printing white without the blockage of nozzles that is common with DTG white inks. The white station is able to print with ease using recirculating inks and specialized printheads. The Artistri DTG series combined with CMYK+2 allows for a wider gamut, allowing printers to create unique prints.

ROQ will also lead the panel “DTF, Screen, and Digital Printing,” on Wednesday and Thursday, from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm, that will bring industry experts together to discuss and answer audience questions on how these technologies differ from each other and the role they play in the future of apparel decoration. Scott Donovan will be the Americas Sales Manager from DuPont’s Artistri Digital inks.
