3D Printing Toroidal Props for a Drone « Adafruit Industries – Makers, hackers, artists, designers and engineers!

Many YouTubers were inspired by the news of the MIT-designed toroidal drone propellers.

Noise reduction was not a result of the MIT design. But it’s inspiring that we have the tools and resources these days to see news of something like this and lots of makers run to their shops to start experimenting on their own.

And, man, how about this guy’s drone flying? Impressive.

Stop breadboarding and soldering – start making immediately! Adafruit’s Circuit Playground is jam-packed with LEDs, sensors, buttons, alligator clip pads and more. Circuit Playground allows you to quickly create projects using the drag-and drop MakeCode programming site. Also, you can learn computer sciences with the CS Discoveries class at code.org. You can also jump into CircuitPython, TinyGO and the Arduino IDE to learn Python, hardware, and more. Circuit Playground Express is the most recent and best Circuit Playground Board. It supports CircuitPython MakeCode and Arduino. It is equipped with a powerful processor, 10 NeoPixels and mini speaker. InfraRed receive/transmit, two buttons, a switch and 14 alligator clips pads. There are many sensors, including capacitive touch, proximity, temperature, motion, light and sound. You have a whole world of electronics and programming waiting for you. It can fit in your hand.
